Abstract

Aim: to perform a systematic review to evaluate the oxyhemodynamic effectiveness of baths with disposable wet wipes compared with baths with water and soap in intensive care units. Design: It is a protocol of a systematic review conducted according to the Cochrane standard. Methods: We will search several databases for relevant parallel and crossover clinical trials. We will include studies in any language with no limitation of time. Two independent researchers will perform all review phases. We will analyze the risk of bias using the RoB2 tool appropriate to each study type. If appropriate, we will conduct metanalysis using the software R. We will identify and measure heterogeneity.  Publication bias will be shown by using the funnel plot. The classification of certainty of evidence will be performed using the GRADE system. Data sources: MEDLINE via PubMed, EMBASE, CENTRAL, CINAHL, LILACS, BASE, OpenGrey, Digital Library of Thesis of University of São Paulo, REBEC, and Clinical Trials. Results: This is a systematic review protocol, and results are not available yet. All results will be reported at the end of the study. Conclusion: this study findings are expected to help ICU nurses to ensure the assistance of a basic human need.
